MH 370
8/3/2014...Raeka is breathless when she happened to hear the heart breaking news in the television. "Malaysian Airlines MH 370 departed from Kuala Lumpur International airport to Beijing with 227 passengers is missing”.
She immediately grabs the remote from the table and changed the channel to confirm the news. But all the news channels delivered the same news.
“Oh, My god”, she gave a whimper of agony. Shamala who is in closest room rushed to Raeka on hearing her voice. ”What happened, anything serious?”
With trembling voice Raeka just insisted her to see the news channel. On seeing the breaking news both of them become speechless. Shamala and Raeka's heart was longing for everybody in the flight. “Please god, let all of them be safe, the flight must land safely”.
“Yeah, the same run in my mind too. What a tragedy. Life is nothing?” said Shamala. But there were no reply from Raeka.
Raeka minds were clouded with the thoughts about Parvati.
“But ….. but Parvati, she said she will be flying today with Malaysian airlines to china to attend an international conference. If it is MH370 then……. what might have happen to her????” Mind voice of Raeka.
“Hey Raeka, Raeka, why you become so speechless, what you were thinking right now”.
Raeka’s eyes filled with tears.
“Raeka, What you were thinking. Something is disturbing deep your heart? What it is? I hear you murmuring the name. Who is Parvati.? What happened to her?” Shamala enquired again.
After a while Raeka continued, “I knew Parvati for past 6 months through social network writeupcafe.com. She blog her thoughts and her writing is a great inspiration for me. At times she likes my comment and mails about the review of my article and there our friendship began. Then on we use to chat through mobile and shared our thoughts. She is an Indian but settled in Malaysia. She love Indian culture and tradition very much. Moreover she is very much interested in Indian politics and cinema which she used to talk to me every time.”
“Why do you think her at this time?”
“She said she will attend a conference in China tomorrow and will be boarding Malaysian airlines today." after a while Raeka continued, "Now I doubt that that might be MH370”.
“Oh, My goodness. Now what to do? How to gather information now? Is she married?”
“She is married. But her marriage fall up in recent breakup.”
“What happened?” Does she have kids”?
“Due to the parents compulsion Parvati husband has agreed for marriage but he never show his love towards Parvati. It is about 8 months before that they married, but then on Parvati husband quarreled with her for simple matter. Frustrated with her husband Parvati doesn't know what to do. She patiently waited these days, that one day her husband will change and understand her. But last month her husband has filed a divorce which lay Parvati in depression.”
“oh. You know her number right? Just call to her mobile.”Shamala suggested.
With full anticipation Raeka took her mobile and searched for Parvati name in the list and then dialed to her number. But the call ended. Both of them listened to the news channel for the latest news of MH 370.

When Raeka is refreshing in the early morning, she heard the ringing sound of her mobile. She immediately rushed towards her mobile and with trembling hand she took her mobile which displayed ”Parvati calling”. With unbelievable eyes she swiped the green button of her mobile and in low voice she answered, "hello”.
“Hai. How do you do? its me Parvati". Parvati was at the other end.
"Parvati? Are you ok. Where are you right now. Are you safe? I heard that Malaysian Flight MH 370 gone missing. Search mission is going on for the past four days? I tried for your mobile but I could not able to reach you.”
“Wait. First relax. Let me answer you in detail. That day, I happened to miss the flight MH370 due to which I am unable to attend the conference. But later on when I heard the headlines about MH370. I am breathless, which let me to admit in hospital due to low blood pressure. Till now search mission is going on, I pray to god for safe landing” “One more happy news Raeka”.
Raeka was exhilarated,“Really what it is?”
“My divorce case is cancelled”
“What come again. Did I hear it right?”
"Yeah, My husband knows that I was going to China in that flight. He heard the news about MH 370 and thought that I must have traveled in that flight. For the past three days he was very depressed and realized the value of life. He felt life is nothing and could end anything. He felt carrying hurt and grudge bring nothing and it does not make sense to hate someone since life is shot. He in-fact, contacted Malaysian authority to gather information but no further information regarding this was provided to him. He called to my mobile and confirmed whether I am safe. Two days later after that incident, he called and said, "that moment I could feel my love towards you. I don’t want to miss you again. Life is one time gift by god, so let us live happy forever”. All ended well Raeka.
“Nice and happy to hear. Best wishes for your new life” when Raeka was about to place her mobile in the table she was able to see Shamala the other side.
“I heard everything” said Shamala.
