My Raksha Bandhan Gift
“Hai.. one good news for you..There is marathon in October in Coimbatore. Do you want me to register for you?” asked my brother.
“Really!!! sure I want to participate in the marathon. So register for me also” I answered him through the mobile.
“Then I will do it for you. Which one you are going to participate 5km or 10km?”
“Since this is the first time, 5km will do. “ I said him.
“Then start practicing from today” he advised me.
My mom who is observing all the above conversation asked me “Is it true? Are you going to Participate in the marathon? What happened to you?”
“Yeah mom. I am serious. This time I am going to run in marathon in Coimbatore. I am waiting this for a long time”. But with her reaction I understood that she still did not believe me.
My mom is correct I never shown interest in this type of activities before. It is my Deepak who made the change in me. Deepak is my younger brother who is doing his graduation in Coimbatore. We often fight for silly things at home. At times we will not talk to each other due to small misunderstandings. I will often shout at my mom for being fond of my brother. But I recognized and understood that it is quite common and natural when my dad is very affectionate to me. I still remember the day I cried when he is about to depart for his studies to Coimbatore.
Deepak is very interested in sports and he will take part in all the games in his school days. At times he will come home with medals and cups. After his school days he began to go trekking to hill places with his friends, he will involve in long cycling and often he will run in marathon.
